PROJECT     1,700 Design Build of a studio, workshop, and retail for a multidisciplinary design collective

LOCATION     Williamsburg, New York City

ROLE     Principal Design Builder with partner Rory Connors

This Williamsburg storefront houses a design studio, fabrication workshop, and retail area for a multidisciplinary design collective.  A translucent screen made from antique looms hangs from a freight gantry, and can be pushed & pulled to expand / contract the public & private areas.  Materials typically used for protection are here used as finish materials, as masonite chocolate wall tiles, and sanded homasote work cubbies.
